Module 6
Tools & tackle
Owning tackle is easy. Mastering it is a whole different kettle of fish!
This practical module helps you master your gear, whether you need to cast with greater accuracy or for day on end without fatigue, even on a crowded jetty in the wind! And you’ll learn to service and maintain your own tackle, as well as successfully plan for fishing trips of all kinds.
Overview
In this module, you’ll learn to troubleshoot your own cast, gaining accuracy and distance with minimal effort (whether using centrepin, spin or baitcaster reels), match your rods and reels for specific applications, and develop a basic tackle maintenance routine that ensures longevity of your tackle investment. You’ll also develop bespoke workflow routines to prepare for your fishing adventures and discover the small variations that differentiate a sustainable fisher’s tackle choices from those of the uninformed.
